I am honored to welcome you to the Local Government Finance Commission (LGFC) website whose main objective is to improve communication with our stakeholders. Specifically, the website is intended to disseminate LGFC work, outputs and services and reach out to many of our stakeholders and all those in the decentralised governance fraternity in the country and worldwide.

It is the mandate of LGFC to have oversight on all fiscal decentralisation matters in the country and advise Government, local governments and other stakeholders on appropriate frameworks to achieve the intended objectives of Uganda’s decentralisation policy implementation.

On that note, the website will be able to offer you expert and researched information on a range of issues on fiscal decentralisation.
