IRAS Launch in 42 Local governments
The Local Government Finance Commission together with other MDAS is undertaking to launch the Integrated Revenue Administration System (IRAS) in 42 Local governments of:
Rwampara, Kazo, Mitooma, Lwengo, Sembabule, Namayingo, Luuka, Namutumba, Budaka, Kibuuku, Buliisa, Kikuube, Kakumiro, Kyegegwa, Kasanda, Bugweri ,Ngora ,Kirenga, Kaabong, Obongi, Kagadi, Kiryandongo, Namisindwa, Bududa, Bulambuli, Kyotera, Isingiro, Kamwenge, Kitagwenda, Ibanda, Nakapiripirit, Nabilatuk, Kotido MC, Kalaki, Rubanda, Rukiga Rubirizi, Buvuma, Buyende, Bukwo, Kapchorwa, Kween
This began on 23rd April 2024 and will end on 16th May 2024. This launch will increase the coverage from 128 Vote level LGs to 170 Vote level LGs.
This will help to streamline the management and collection of Local revenues in these local governments and ultimately improve the collection of local revenue and service delivery in local governments.
